Glass Lines

Glass maximizes freshness, taste and versatility. It also offers unrivaled transparency and purity, with wide array packaging options that enhance the image of any beverage product, including soda, juice, milk, ready-to-drink coffees, beer, wine and bottled water.

Glass is non porous and impermeable, so there are no interactions between glass packaging and products to affect the flavor of beverages. Glass has an almost zero rate of chemical interactions, ensuring that the products inside a glass bottle keep their strength, aroma, and flavor.

Glass bottles make significantly better containers for carbonated beverages due to the fact that air can diffuse through plastic, allowing the CO2 to escape.A Thus, carbonated beverages stored in plastic containers have a much shorter shelf life than their glass counterparts.

Globally there are still a significant amount of companies who believe that Glass Bottles are the only packaging medium for their Product. IBC identifies with this philosophy and has ensured that from a technological perspective that IBC is geared to accommodate such requirements being able to provide efficient End to End line solutions irrespective of the Size; Shape; or Colour of the Glass Container.

Can Lines

Beverage cans are valued for their convenience and portability. Aluminum and tin cans are a sustainable beverage package on virtually every measure. They have a higher recycling rate and more recycled content than competing package types. They are lightweight, stackable and strong, allowing brands to package and transport more beverages using less material. Aluminum and tin cansAhelp make recycling programs financially viable and effectively subsidize the recycling of less valuable materials in the bin.

In over a decade of its existence, IBC has installed and commissioned Can lines around the world in both breweries and carbonated soft drink plants. IBC prides itself on keeping abreast of global market trends with regard to can designs; attributed to material changes as well as size and shape changes. IBC can affect the required line modifications to accommodate and size or shaped can ensuring the changes are as seamless as possible.

PET Lines

PET is globally recognized as a safe, recyclable packaging material. They became popular with both manufacturers and customers due to their lightweight nature and relatively low production and transportation costs. However, the biggest advantage PET containers have is their superior resistance to breakage, in both production and transportation.

Compounds such as polyethylene terephthalate have given PET several advantages, including toughness, energy savings and ease of production. PET containers are economical to make, safe to use and recyclable. In comparison to other packaging materials, PET offers many advantages. It shows a very high gas – barrier resistance. The loss of CO2 as well as the penetration of O2 into the filling good can be minimized with the use of PET.

IBC continues to grow with the ever-increasing market for the filling of various products into PET containers which are not limited to the Beverage Industry. IBC has the technical expertise together with years of experience to ensure your product is packaged into a PET container cost effectively ensuring that your product enjoys all the quality standards it would in any other packaging medium.

PET Recycling

specialization-petrecycle

In a society that is becoming more and more conscious about their environment and the negative effects that certain materials have on the Earth, recycling is becoming the norm. From a beverage filling line point of view, PET recycling has become a top priority.

PET is one of the most versatile materials of our modern age. And yet the popularity of plastic is the problem. Discarded plastic is finding its way into landfill taking up space and is non bio-degradable. By recycling plastic, the amount produced and wasted can be reduced. PET recycling conserves the natural resources and energy that would be required to produce plastic from scratch. When PET is recycled, less plastic is sent to landfill and thus, less of this material takes up room in our environment for hundreds of years. In fact, recycling one ton of PET can save 7.4 cubic yards of landfill space. PET is becoming increasingly easy to recycle.

With the development of PET Recycling IBC saw the Environmental benefits of this technology and has supported this from its inception. Taking used PET Bottles which in the past would have been used for landfill or substrate for building roads and processing it into re-usable pellets for PET Bottles appealed to IBC Environmental Policy. IBC has invested heavily into this technology together with the OEM to have a resource base technologically advanced to participate in any stage of the PET Recycling Process.
